founder story
The Founder , Matthew Adams started his professional yachting career in 1981, qualifying as an RYA Yacht Master Instructor at only 22 years old.

Passionate about yachting, he trained hundreds of students and mentored a large number of them to become fully qualified captains.
Matthew also identified early on in his career, that the smaller yachts didn’t carry dedicated engineers and that the captains required these skills to safely manage and command the vessel.
This led to him returning to the UK for a training period, acquiring an engineering qualification that proved invaluable to both to his operating, as well as helping design and draw up specifications for all the yachts he has been involved with.
Since the commencement of Matthews’s career, the super yacht industry has grown beyond anyone's expectations and owing to his dynamic adaptable aptitude, coupled with extensive knowledge and experience, it is not surprising, that his career quickly evolved within the industry and he has been in the forefront of many prestigious and high profile projects in both Europe and the USA.
Matthew has gained significant expertise in building, captaining and managing some of the very finest yachts afloat.

As a leisure pursuit Matthew has become a very experienced pilot, training in both Europe and USA, attaining a commercial fixed wing and more recently his European helicopter licenses, both of which will be incorporated as a unique part of the company.

A passionate sailing hobby evolved into a prosperous profession and now from those aqua seas and skies experienced the natural continuation - Aqua Marine & Aviation.
